What You'll Do:

Design: Shape the future of automation equipment by designing, implementing, and documenting mechanical design solutions for a variety of automated equipment such as robotics, AGV’s, tooling, conveyors, etc. 

Problem-Solving: Dive into the heart of machine design using software such as Solidworks with Simulation.  You’ll be working in a dynamic team environment to develop intelligent solutions to challenging automation problems. 

Other responsibilities: 3D modeling using Solidowkrs, design verification and validation via FEA software and hand calculations, Development of project bill of materials, contribution to scope and specification meetings, and collaboration with machine build group as needed.

What You’ll Bring:

Educational Background: Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering but your passion for automation Mechanical Engineering is what counts.  Candidates with an Associate's degree with 5+ years of experience, or equivalent expertise may also be considered. 

Experience: With 5+ years of direct design experience under your belt, you're ready to hit the ground running and contribute from day one.

 

Skills You’ll Have:

CAD Proficiency: Whether it's Inventor, SolidWorks, or other CAD software, you're comfortable creating mechanical 3d models.  2D CAD experience is an added benefit. 

Required Skills: You have a knack for designing and solving complex mechanical challenges.  Proficiency in stress analysis and knowledge of materials, and assembly experience. 

Desired Skills (not required):  Knowledge of fluid power systems (pneumatics and hydraulics), understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups, understanding of fabrication and machining processes. 

 

Travel: Opportunities to visit customer sites approximately 10% - 20% of your time.
