As a Senior Machine Builder, you'll be an integral part of our dynamic project team, collaborating closely with our Technician, Controls, and Mechanical Engineering teams. Together, we'll redefine possibilities by designing, building, programming, and deploying custom automated equipment and solutions across a diverse range of applications, processes, and industries.
What You'll Do:
Bring mechanical drawings and 3D models to life through precise equipment assembly.
Contribute to the designs and engage in all facets of the build, start-up/debug, and installation of equipment.
Document and communicate changes and challenges.
Uphold stringent Quality standards throughout all stages. We have a quality-first approach!
Maintain open communication with project leaders to ensure project progress.
Oversee subcontractors to ensure adherence to build and installation requirements.
Foster a culture of cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in the work environment, with a keen focus on 5S principles.
Operate a variety of shop equipment safely and effectively, including mills, lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, saws, shears, and welding equipment.
What You'll Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent certification.
Preferred vocational education related to the field.
Basic proficiency in computer skills.
Adeptness in interpreting part and assembly drawings.
Demonstrated mechanical assembly experience prioritizing safety and quality.
Physical agility to sustain a steady pace while performing tasks such as bending, kneeling, and climbing.
Capability to lift up to 50 lbs as required.
Willingness to travel approximately 10-20% of the time.
Experience in supervising other builders and subcontractors is advantageous.
Our ideal candidate possesses approximately 10 years of experience in building automation equipment from scratch. Additional experience is highly desirable. This role will involve the construction of a wide array of automated equipment, including tooling jigs, conveyors, robotics, and more.
