Entry Level Controls Engineer
Work alongside an experienced Controls Engineer who will help you advance your technical engineering designs and project management skills. As the position progresses, you will attend manufacturer/vendor specific training and start designing your own control systems under senior guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Schematic reading
- Technical hands-on tasks such as assisting with control panel fabrication or machine wiring
- AutoCAD Electrical design
- PLC ladder logic programming
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
OR
- 2-year degree pertaining specifically to automation and controls plus 3 years direct experience in Controls Automation design
- AutoCAD or other CAD experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of PLC programming
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to grasp new concepts quickly
- Organization and attention to details are a must
- Flexible schedule and willing to work outside of Kentucky when required
- Travel is approximately 20%
