Overflow Weld Pipe Cell

This original design weld cell picks and places small overflow direction pipes from a bowl

feeder chute and welds them onto hydraulic cylinders for forklift mast assemblies.  

It features a dual robot setup: one to handle the pipes and one to weld pipes onto the cylinders. The material handling robot picks and places the pipes, locates them in an orientation station, and then holds the pipe in place for a quick tack weld. Once secure, the welding robot performs a full arc weld around the connecting face of the pipe.

The hydraulic cylinders are transferred from station to station via v-blocks on lift cylinders, with multiple clamps to secure them in place.
