Over the past several months, our dedicated team has been working diligently to build the Front Axle Plate Cell. The project was a great success, and everyone at TOA-SE is thrilled with the results!
The cell features:
Four Yaskawa Robots
Robot 1 - Material Handler on RTU Axis with a Schunk Magnetic Gripper
Robot 2 - Material Handler with a Schunk Pneumatic Gripper
Two Weld Robots
Keyence LJ-X8000 Series 3D Laser Profiler
Combines the images of two separate heads to create one seamless image
Gauges several quality control features of the part
No part fixturing required for welding
LJ-X800 Profiler used to compare production parts picked from loosely located totes against a pre-taught Master part.
Flat plate part locating in Weld fixture by Robot 1, accurate to less than 0.5mm using measurement data from Profiler.
High accuracy required—Robot 2 places a round part into a round hole on the flat plate.
Weld Robots included Headstock/Tailstock positioners.
